They Waited 1.5 Hours

You probably already know about Generous Basket, our NPO (non-profit organization) — a shop where those in need can receive food, clothing, and household essentials for free.

Two days ago, our son Moses was preparing the shop before opening. He needed to grab a few things from the office. When he came downstairs, he said he couldn’t believe what he saw—more than 10 people were already in line, waiting for the shop to open.

It was 1.5 hours before opening. Can you imagine?

They come because they need food. They come because they rely on us. They come early because they want to be sure they will have something to bring home.

This moment spoke volumes. It showed us the depth of the need among those we serve. And it reminded us that we are an answer — you are the answer!
